SURVIVAL to THRIVAL Coach

“Will I ever feel like myself again?”

Live the LIFE You Wish You Already Had

Even if you don’t believe it’s possible

I guide people whose past trauma of abuse or sexual assault   has not dissipated over time, who are beyond barely surviving, who are ready for the final stride to becoming Empowered

to finally break through

with Courage, Strength and Confidence

to a promising and fulfilling life.

You can THRIVE.

Here’s how we’ll do it together…

It’s just not right for you to remain stuck in
sadness, hopelessness, overwhelm, anxiety, stress,
PTSD, fear, guilt, shame, unhappiness, meaninglessness, loneliness.
You were meant for a better life than this. Much better.

You’ve gotten through the initial effects of trauma:
Sexual Assault/Abuse/Incest/Violence
an Untenable Relationship…

BUT…You’re still reeling from the lingering effects.
You want to go beyond ”just okay”.
You realize there’s something more.

ABSOLUTELY! You were meant for a better life than this. Much better.

Even though it’s in the past….
You CAN survive being sexually assaulted
You CAN survive abuse of any kind
You CAN survive trauma of any kind

AND…

You CAN THRIVE, too (yes, really)

“We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.”

Brené Brown

The Discovery Call is the way to discover who YOU could be and become in partnership with Jan as your coach

How do I know you can Thrive from STUCKness?
How do I know you can Thrive after a marital or any big break-up?
How do I know you can Thrive despite the atrocities you’ve experienced?

Because I’ve been there.
And got out of there.
With professional help.

I got divorced. Got professional help.
I was raped. Never thought I could really live again. Got professional help.

It took a while. And then…

I enrolled in graduate school and earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology
and became a professional therapist/counselor myself.
I knew I was meant to help others thrive when they couldn’t quite figure out how.
Just the way I did.

Now, I’m a Certified Professional Life Coach.
I love it.

You deserve a coach who’s been there.
A Trauma-Experienced Coach and Trauma-Informed Coach in one.

Uncover the possibilities

What is “Survival” anyway?

  Survival can mean many things…

It can mean barely breathing,
or, by definition, you can be “alive but barely”, or simply “not dead”.
Suffering from an assault…Physical, Sexual or Emotional,
that won’t go away, or has been reawakened.
Feeling like a stranger to yourself, always watching and waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Feeling like a victim.
Managing in a “just okay” relationship…
or an abusive one and you don’t know how to handle it.
Or maintaining in a job in which you’re not fulfilled,
but if you let go of it, you fear you’ll lose your “anchor”.

I’ve walked in those shoes.
I know what it feels like.
Break Through (a visual here?) the remains of unspeakable trauma, stuckness…
…To the Thriving experience of enjoying Life and feeling Fulfilled.
Imagine yourself there.
It can happen.

Transform Your Life

The stakes are high if you don’t do something soon.

  • Your friends know something’s up but fear talking about it…except to each other.
  • Your boss sees, too, and you know it won’t be long before it’s mentioned.
  • Your kids notice.. They’re bewildered.
  • Your numbness is moving into depression, slowly but surely.
  • Your emotions are strained and you’re snapping at people.

     Gain Confidence and Control

There is much inside you that is yearning to get out.
And to be shared. To lead to your life betterment…and the world’s.

Totally safe,
With total confidentiality,
While being totally respected,

About Jan, Survival to Thrival Coach

“How, What, Why do we See, Hear, Feel”.  It was my first film.  It won a National Award. I was only 16.

I had always been into understanding and helping people understand themselves even then…and never stopped/

One day, I got engaged.
Two days later, I was raped.
Two days after that, I was in therapy.

I was so helped by my therapist, I applied to Graduate School to help others.
The rapist remained at large as I emerged from my own “jail”.

After he was found, and after I appeared in two trials, he was sentenced to 376 years in prison…

…as I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and started my practice.

I helped victims of trauma: rape, abuse, spousal abuse, worked with divorcees, and those who wished they were.

They became strong, self-confident, in control of their lives, and because of their becoming empowered, took action to make their own lives the way they wanted.

Clients called or came back, even years later, to thank me and give me positive feedback about their lives.

I am passionate and practical.
I do not ignore the negative, yet I come from the positive, building on strengths.
Strengths you already have, strengths you may not realize you have, and strengths I will help you build.

I am blessed with the empathy I naturally have.
I am humbled by the kudos I’ve been given.
Most of all, I am privileged to have helped many people for so many years.

Will I have the privilege of working with you next?
Let’s walk together and get you where you want to go.
Out of the sludge
and
Into the life you wish you already had. Right now.
